1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using WanderVox ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
WanderVox is a mobile travel companion application that provides the following features:
- Voice Translation — Real-time speech-to-speech translation powered by AI to help you communicate across languages.
- Photo Translation — Point your camera at signs, menus, or documents to get instant visual translations.
- Cultural Guides — AI-generated tips on local customs, etiquette, and cultural context for your destination.
- Explore Recommendations — Curated suggestions for places to visit, eat, and experience based on your location.
- Trip Planner — Save bookings, places, reminders, and travel notes in a dated itinerary on your device.
- Offline Typed Translation — On supported Android language packs, typed translation can run on device through ML Kit after model download.
- Account and Subscription Services — Firebase anonymous auth, optional Google Sign-In, and RevenueCat/Google Play purchases keep access and entitlements working.
Features may be added, modified, or removed at our discretion without prior notice.
3. Pricing and Subscriptions
WanderVox offers a free tier and the following paid plans, billed through Google Play:
- Free — 5 voice translations and 3 camera translations per day at no charge.
- Trip Pass — $2.99/week. Unlimited voice and camera translations, all cultural tips, unlimited Explore results, offline language packs, phrase audio, AI booking scan, and taxi location cards.
- Monthly — $6.99/month. Everything in Trip Pass, best for frequent travelers.
- Annual — $59.99/year. Everything in Trip Pass, saving 28% versus the Monthly plan.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings. Prices are in USD and may vary by region.
4. User Responsibilities
When using WanderVox, you agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
- Not use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
- Not interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, networks, or infrastructure.
- Be solely responsible for any content you submit through the App, including voice recordings and photos.
- Ensure that your use of translations complies with local laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, code, and other materials within WanderVox are the intellectual property of WanderVox and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent. Your use of the App does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the App or its content.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Translations provided by WanderVox are generated by artificial intelligence and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or error-free. The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You acknowledge that AI-generated translations may contain errors, and you should not rely on them for critical, legal, medical, or safety-related communications. WanderVox is not a substitute for professional human translation services.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WanderVox and its developers, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid, if any, for accessing the App during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of WanderVox after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which WanderVox operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
